| Books are the cornerstone of civilization. We are convinced that the
primary reason for the amazingly poor quality of American education is this: The
unions that run the government school system fear a literate voter more than anything else
imaginable. It is no accident that American students are so poorly prepared for
serious reading. In response to that situation, we offer this list: a required reading list designed specifically for political and economic literacy. Additionally, we will be adding more book reviews, summaries, and commentaries to this page in the near future. Our plan is to create a reference site for students who wish to engage in that most seditious and rebellious of behavior - independent thought. |
